That link doesn’t seem to work for me… :(

Meantime, I plan to visit Ikea and buy a nice new bed. I’ve always wanted a king size bed, though I might end up getting queen size instead.

Maybe you can answer a question for me. From what I can tell from the IRS’s website, I qualify for a check. I earned less than $75k, and paid taxes. I filed my 2007 return and got my rebate with direct deposit. But I never got a letter from the IRS saying I was going to get the stimulus check. Do you have any idea if I’m still likely to? Thank you!

    Chris:
Are you sure you got the rebate with your refund? I I had not heard of them doing that yet? You should get it. Did you make exactly 75k or more? They do phase it out at 75000 but its a slow phase out.

  3. Chris Says:

No, I got a refund of $25. Yeah, I’m rich. :) I earned about $25k last year, so I was well under the $75k cut-off point. I haven’t received the stimulus payment yet, but I should qualify from what I can tell. I never got a letter from them to that point, though, which is why I’m concerned.

You should be fine Chris. You should have the full amount pending you don’t owe past due taxes. I just posted the check mailing schedule for the rebates in a recent post.

Well, that’s a relief. When I found out letters were being sent out and I hadn’t received one, I got a bit nervous. :) I gotta go to Ikea and get that bed, see! :) Thanks!

I’m mad as all get out! I just got my check electronically and it was for $15.85. Wow, that helps me out alot! They should have kept that!

    Wow, Glenda! You go, girl!

Don’t spend it all in one place!

    Where’s the party?

Will they only send a check to the people that did direct deposit? because I didn’t do direct deposit, so now am worried am not get a refund check. For the rest of qualifications, I know for sure I do qualify for a refund. Anyone please answer me, please!

Stephanie: Never fear. You will get your check but those who did direct deposit get it first. I didnt direct deposit either but I see my check will come out June 13. Look at the posts below and see when yours will come. Its on a schedule down below. Let me know if you can’t find it. I will tell you when by your last two digits of your social security.

  10. My husband and I filed a joint return with the annual income being well below $75K. We received a small refund which was directly deposited. The last two digits of my husbands SS# are 72. We have not received anything as of today. How can we find out if there is a problem?

    Deb:
When did your direct deposit go through for your tax return for 2007?

My partner finsihed (Deal was done) a “Letter of Compromise” with the IRS through a well-known law firm. However, when she didn’t get her 600 dollar rebate incentive, she contacted them (IRS) and was told that she would not get the rebate because it would be income above her level set in the compromise. Every hear of this? I think they plain out STOLE the money! What’s the sense of an incentive for taxpayers to spend if the IRS giveth….then taketh?
